New measurement and control technology

In the Bioprocessing Technology | Combined Energy Systems working group, a measurement, control and regulation system (MRS system) has been developed based on single-board computers (SBC) that enables automated and process-reliable operation of bioprocessing systems. The SBC has all the electronic components for connecting sensors and actuators, and allows the secure and stable transmission of information as well as its continuous recording. The MSR system is supported in this case by open-source software. The system is therefore not only significantly smaller and more space-saving than previously used measuring and control systems, but is also much cheaper.
